The broken arch top features its original brass rosettes over a double door bookcase with individually cut glass. Bookcase shelves are adjustable. The writing surface folds out making a nice area for working. Drawers and a blind door cabinet at the bottom offer nice storage. A very elegant secretary it is in excellent condition with some work having been done to the crest and a few veneer chips. The smaller size of this piece as compared to most Federal/Empire furniture makes it very usable in a smaller home as well as a large one. A beautiful secretary it will certainly add the elegance of a bygone era to any home.
