Hope you take the time to look at this fabulous piece! I am not an expert on this. But believe it is a early Mohair Carriage or Lap Robe or Blanket. From what I can tell it is a little larger then the Chase robes. Measure approx. 62 inches by 53 1/2 inches. And is double sided. It is stenciled. Guess from what I read it was quite the process. I am guessing but thinking it dates to around 1860 something. It has some type of hair inside, but is mostly settled into corners. It does have some holes and binding is well worn. Colors are somewhat faded, but still great. It has the American eagle and Flag on one side and the other has the American eagle and the English Flag and lion. If there is anyone out there that could tell me more info it would be appreciated. Feel free to e-mail. This robe was found in Vermont 4 years ago. Thanks for looking
