Up on the sale block is a sweet mid to late 1930\'s Rawlings model A29 black leather football helmet!As the photos show, the helmet is in game used but great condition (see all photos)! The leather is soft and supple but still very strong. It has a great look and nice shine!It has it\'s 100% original intimidating jet blackpatina!No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. Overall condition is very good. The only damage is on the edging, a little on the interior, and some green paint where the original wrote his name (see all photos). The leather interior of the helmet does have wear but most of it is in good shape. All of the inner suspension straps are present and firmly attached. There is a Rawlings makers logo on the back center of the helmet along with the model number A29. The size 6 3/4 is marked on the back as well. We included a scan (for reference only) from a 1935 Rawlings football ad where you can see the same model helmet (circled in blue). Thisawesomeantique Rawlings A29 leather football helmetwilllook fantastic displayed in your home, office, sports room, etc! They will make a killer gift for a Chicago Bears fan!
