Up for offers isa very cool late 1930\'s early 1940\'s Spalding wing back leather football helmet! The leather on this beast is in great shape! It is soft and supple and still very strong. It has it\'s 100% original intimidating black original worn patina. No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. It has a great shine and that antique leather aroma we all know and love! It has it\'s share of gridiron battle scars but no major damage (see all photos). The hard shell section on the helmet has the original factory paint. It shows loots of gridiron battle scars but no cracks or dents. The leather interior of the helmet is also in great shape. The leather is nice and soft and there is just the usual surface wear you see on most antique football helmets (see last 3 photos). The only visible markings on the helmet are on the suspension strap connecting pad. you can read the size 7 1/8 and a capital S that appears to us to be a Spalding logo but we cannot say for sure.Wood display stand is not included.This very cool wing back football helmet will look amazing displayed in your office, sports room, or man cave!
