An early Victorian solid silver Vinaigrette.
It measures 3.6cm x 2 cm.
Weight is 15.5 grams.
Of oblong form with rounded corners. Cross hatched engraved decoration to front and back and vacant cartouche to the underside - no initials.
Insidethere is a gilded floral pierced hinged grille.
Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1838. Maker\'s mark of Edward Smith. Corresponding marks to lid.
All in very good condition. The lid closes snugly andprecisely, The hinged grill is sound and fits very well.
An excellent example.
