A WONDERFUL AND VERY RARE GERMAN CANDY CONTAINER OF AN Easter BUNNY RABBIT WITH BABY IN ITS POUCH WHICH SAYS FROHLICHE OSTERN, AMBER GLASS EYES, RED FELT TIED BASKET, AND A SILK RIBBON IN EXCELLENT CONDITION IN A DELIGHTFUL SIZE!!! DATING TO C1920! A VERY RARE Easter HOLIDAY RABBIT COLLECTIBLE!
This is one of the most adorable and rare German candy containers you will find! The fantastic Easter Bunny Rabbit has a baby in its pouch with a gilded embossed label that states Frohliche Ostern, Happy Easter in German. The bunny has amber glass eyes, a red felt tied basket and silk ribbon around its neck! He has the most wonderful expression and pose! The rabbit is paper mache with a felt covering.This type of container could have the candy in the basket and it also has the hole in the bottom by the tail and the other end of the tail is under the flap of felt at the neck - a long chocolate straw type of candy or candy cane would have been placed into this opening!
The candy container is in excellent condition with wonderful paint and felt. The rabbit is 9 inches tall and 5 inches long. Please review the photos for condition and feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking!
