Bound in a Most Handsome brick red leather, the book has decorative end paper, satin book marker, hubbed spine, and gold gilding on three edges---in FINE condition---except for a \'blank\' attached book plate on second blank page. Andrew Jackson, who lived from 1767--1845, was a native of North Carolina, but in 1787, having passed the bar, he moved to Tennessee where he became a public prosecutor, and later a representative and Senator. The War of 1812 brought Jackson to national attention when as Major General he shattered Indian power in the south, captured Pensacola, and defeated the British in the Battle of New Orleans. \"Old Hickory\" became a household word. Folks, Jackson was later elected the 7th President of the United States.
