This is the famous \"Nude\" recalled Elektra Volume 2 #3. Apparently the Chuck Austen artwork became a little too graphic on a few internal pages for the likes of the Marvel Brass and they ordered the released issues recalled and released another edition with some discreet black lines put across bare backs to indicate that foundation garments were, indeed, being used. This became an instant \"rarity\" and much in demand among collectors. This is a CGC 9.4 rated issue and given a green \"qualifying\" grade. This means that the CGC representative did not actually witness the signing. HOWEVER, this particular issue did indeed have a witness to the signing as this was a Dynamic Forces edition and is numbered 423 out of 500 copies and given the Dynamic Forces CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
For those who aren\'t familiar with CGC Signature Series, the certification and verification of the signature must be done in the presence of a CGC agent in order to receive it\'s certification. There is no truer verification of authenticity than the CGC. The 9.8 rating here is given because someone thoughtlessly wrote on the cover which is, of course, the signature. Silly but that\'s how they work. I can see no other faults in the item. The variance in ratings never usually bothers me because the trade-off with the Signature Series is that THEY ARE SIGNED BY THE ARTISTS!!! Which means that the artists have PERSONALLY HELD THESE ISSUES IN THEIR HANDS. Technically, buying one means that YOU OWN THE DNA OF THE PERSON WHO SIGNED THE ISSUE!!
