Not dated but probably1970s (last date on bio sheet is Abrahami (Iranian b.1941).Abrahami was born in 1941 in Sanandaj, Iran and immigrated to Israel at the age of 17. He studied painting in Tel Aviv and then moved to Paris in 1970 to continue his artistic education, studying with etching artist John Friedlander, among others.That same year he won a first place prize for painting at the Jewish Art Museum in Paris, and an honorary prize at the First International Engraving Biennale in Monaco.Abrahami\'s delicate watercolors and oil paintings, combining Eastern and western traditions, have been exhibited in various galleries throughout the world and have been acquired by some of the most important museums in the world, including the Metropolitan, Guggenheim and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the British Museum in London, the Musee National d\'Art Moderne in Paris, and the Kamakura Museum in Japan.In 1980, his etchings were exhibited in the gallery of the Bibliotheque Nationale de France in Paris, and in 1988, he had a solo exhibition in Boston. In 1993, he had a showing at the Seita museum in Paris followed by another showing in Boston. In 1995, he even had a solo exhibition at the Israel Museum, and in 1997, at the Saka Gallery in Tokyo. In 1999, his pictures were part of a group exhibition of watercolors at the Israel Museum.“(Elie Abrahami) succeeded in created an intriguing technique that combines East and West in a manner that few have succeeded before,\" according to Yigal Zalmona, the chief interdisciplinary curator of the Israel Museum, who has known Abrahami since his days as an art student in Paris.\"He combines the French heritage from the point of view of color and the perception of space, and `Eastern-ness,\' which may be the Far East, such as Japan, or the Near East, for example Iran.
