Today\'s treasure is an antique opera or theater binoculars, made in Wien in the late 1900s.The binocular has a stylish design combining Mother of Pearl focus ring and oculars with Gold plated Brass and Enamel. The Enamel
is decorated with different wave patterns that create a mesmerizing sun-burst effect that sparkles with the different angles of view.Only the aristocratic and educated strata of society had access to opera and theater events, so binoculars like this one were the possession of
higher-class men and women. The binocular design is not only a display of its owner individuality, but also a statement of social status.The binocular optic has 3 1/2 x magnification with adjustable focus and oculars\' width.
The optics are in excellent condition, there are no cracks, nor scratches. There is wearing on the corpus and four hair-line cracks running across the Enamel.
The binoculars is in overall very good antique condition.A very elegant Victoria-era opera binoculars for collectors, for museums and interior decoration.
