English Bronze Skillet, Posnet, Signed Emerson , Late 18c or Early 19c. Bristol

An uncommonENGLISH bronze/brass skillet or posnet by the brassfounder,James Emerson of Bristol. Cast in theearly 19th century this skillethas caston the handle,EMERSON & Co 4 (4 isthe size). It has a diameter of 163mm, stands 170mm high and the handle is 234mm long. It is inexcellent condition being high on its legs(see photos).One of therarer founders.
