For your consideration is this wonderful piece of history, not to mention work of art.This Sterling Silver christening mug, was made in LondonbyHenry Chawner, one of London\'s important silversmiths,in 1794, during the reign of George III. It\'s hard to fathom that these pieces remain intact over thecenturies, and thismug is quite a remarkable example. It\'s in excellent condition with just a few minor dings to the rim and some scratches thatcan be expected considering its age. Please view pictures carefully,as they are part of the description.

The mug is etched with a heavy band of flowersflankedat the top and bottomwith a linenfold design. A cartouche is monogrammed withthe recipients name, Janis. Truly apiece ofhistorythat would be a significant addition to your collection.
