A very fine and rare early George II sterling tea kettle on stand.


Sadly, selling our 40 year collection of 18th and 19th century British silver.


The tea kettle from Edward Vincent in 1734.

The well matched stand with burner Humphrey Payne 1746.


Beautifully engraved armorial.

Shell floral and diamond pattern tapestry along rim and edge of recessed cover.

Cover topped ebony saucer and sterling cap finial.

Carved wood center overhead handle rising from petal terminal.

Falling leaf cap footed stand with urn shape burner built in, removable cover. The stand itself atop rolled tongue shell tip feet.

This 1734 English sterling silver tea kettle on stand is 12 inches the set weighs 58 1/2 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown, kettle for Edward Vincent 1734 the base for Humphrey Payne 1746.

In very fine condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stands firm on table. Mild surface wear.
