Offered is a new-in-box Eversharp Skyline fountain pen with black body, gold-plated radially striped cap, and solid 14k gold medium nib. Designed in 1940 by Henry Dreyfuss, the Skyline pen is one of the icons of machine-age American design. (Some see echoes of Dreyfuss\' re-styling of the New York Central\'s 20th Century Limited Hudson locomotives in the distinctive design of the pen\'s cap.) The trim barrel and high-set clip allow the pen to be neatly covered by a shirt-pocket flap, thus meeting U.S. military dress regulations. This example was made in France by the rejuvenated Eversharp company and is brand new, un-inked and un-dipped, in its original box with all supplied paperwork. This beautiful classic pen may be used every day without the concerns over plastic shrinkage and desiccated filler sacs endemic to 40\'s vintage examples. Local pick-up is available.
