This is an antique German wallclock over 100 years old, and is in excellent condition. It was made by The Hamburg American Clock Company(HAC)

inGermany andis a very collectable antique clock.Ithas a spring powered 8 day time and strike movement. The clock is 39 inches tall and 12.5 inches wide. The clock movement and case have been serviced by ourclock repairman and bothare in greatoperatingcondition. The clock is ready to hang and beautify your home for the next 10 years or more. It has thefamouscrossed-arrows HAC trademark on the movement backplate.

The wood case still has its\' original elegance and is made ofwalnut. There are some 100 year old wormwood holes that add to the elegance of the antique clock finish. The carved topper, bottomand 2 carved columns on the casefront door areexquisite. There are6 finials onthe caseand topper whichare alloriginal to the clock. The porcelain face is in perfect condition. The big brass pendulum has a small ding on thelower left side. The winding key is provided.

The HAC was formed in Germany in 1873. The famous crossed arrows became their trademark in 1892, at which time the company sold clocks to the export market, particularly to Great Britain and North America. They were in the production of mantel, longcase, wall, ship, and specialized industrial clocks. The company was a major producer of clocks , with 1300 employees in 1910. In 1926 the company went into cooperative with Junghans and in 1930 they finally merged with Junghans.
