Up for sale is an EXCEPTIONAL Chinese Export solid silver FIGURAL CUP, made by WANG HING c.1890

This lovely large cup has several LARGE FIGURES OF ELDERS. These are heavily repoussed and engraved. These are highlighted against an ORANGE PEEL background. There is a central shield shaped cartouche. The construction is double walled (uncommon in Chinese Export silver). The interior has its original HONEY GOLD WASH.

The underside is marked for WANG HING c.1890

THIS IS A TOP QUALITY CUP WITH THE FINEST FIGURAL DETAIL. THE FIGURES (TOTALING 7) ARE UNUSUALLY LARGE AND WELL DETAILED.

The cup stands 9.5cm tall and weighs 6.5 troy ounces (202 GRAMS). It looks and feels impressive.

CONDITION: SUPERB, SUPER SHARP and CRISP, NO repairs, NO damage - EXCELLENT.
