Hard-to-find Haynes stereoview of the Seattle harbor, circa 1900.
F. J. Haynes was the photographer for the Northern Pacific Railroad - James J. Hill\'sline - until about 1905.
He took views of Yellowstone, Indians, rivers in the West and a very few city views & even fewer photos such as this.
In 1902, the Great Northern constructed three piers out into Elliott Bay between the waterfront feet of Seattle\'sMadison & University Streets. This is now the Pier 54 area today. It makes sense that Haynes, as the railroad\'s photographer would make an image that included the new docks. This may be them; or perhaps not.

Condition is as you see it in the photos here. No tears or bends, there is normal wear for age and expected condition for age.Pls. review all the photographs here, as they are key components of our descriptions.
