Exceptional Vintage Navajo Sterling “Mini Concho Belt Bracelet” for Wrist :

Beingoffered is an absolutely stunning collector quality rare Navajo handmade minisilver concho belt designed to be worn on the arm as a bracelet. Incredible detail and impeccable workmanshipwith classic, elegant and crisp hand stamping.This piece is hallmarked by the artist (see photo) and the shop at whichit was made---the Rocking Horse Ranch.

TheRocking Horse Ranch shop operated in the 1970’s and 1980’s and produced highquality Navajo jewelry by such award winning artists as Thomas Curtis, FredBahe etc. Fred Bahe stated that “…I believe that of the 20 best contemporaryolder Navajo smiths, that 19 of them at one time worked for Rocking HorseRanch.”

Thebracelet consists of 5 beautifully made sterling silver conchos and anintricately made sterling silver buckle and stay. Each concho measures approximately 13/16”long (over ¾”) and 11/16” high (just under ¾”) and has a copper clasp on thebackside that the leather strap passes through.The buckle measures approximately 11/16” long and 11/16” high. The leather strap is 8 14/16” in length(excluding the buckle) and approximately 9 ¼” long overall (with thebuckle). The leather is in excellentcondition (no splits or cracks) and currently has one hole in it (additionalholes could be placed in the strap to make it slightly larger).

Thisincredible bracelet is signed by the Navajo artist (see photo), is stamped“sterling” and includes the Rocking Horse Ranch hallmark.

Of special note, the buckle and keeper are held onto the wrist strap by hand-tied leather knots. Most have rivets. This is an exceptional detail, very rarely seen.
