Here for your consideration is an exquisite and rare, 1906, antique Victorian, Art Nouveau, silver sugar caster, having ornate pierced lid with flame finial, decorative wire body enclosing an original blue cut glass liner, with gothic Arts and Craftsinfluence, by Haseler Brothers Ltd.

Thisfabulous silver sugar caster, with exquisiteworkmanship, is fully hallmarked top and bottom,with the date letter a gothic g for 1906, assay stamped E.J.H over N.H in a shield cartouchefor Haseler Brothers, lion passant, with leopards head mark for the London silver assay office !!

Condition: no splits, dents, or nasty scratches and mostimportantly no liner damage. It does have some beautiful age related silver patinawear, commensurate with 109 years of age, but overall its in extremely good clean original condition. A real testament to its previous owner !!

Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler ....

The company was founded in Birmingham by William Hair Haseler in circa 1848. A London office was opened 1876 and in 1901 the firm was converted to W.H. Haseler Ltd. In 1946 the firm became Haseler & Restall and from 1963 it was associated with Marples & Beasley Ltd. The firm is most famous for acting in partnership with Liberty & Co for the manufacture of the Cymric range of silverware, at the turn of the last century.
