Exquisite Rare Antique Carved Anglo Indian Caryatid Hindu Deity Figural Table:

This sale is for a impeccable example of Anglo Indian carving, This table produced in the latter part of the 19th century is extravagant in every way and truly is a forerunner for carvings of its type.

The table features four deities in total all carved to the highest degree, three large which form the legs and a smaller center figure that stands in between them all, the three large deities also feature in the carved centerpiece on the tabletop.

The top is a beautiful combination of flowers, elephants, figures and mythological beasts all forming a fantastic patterned surround for the story telling center.

Measures 24.5\"across point to point and is 24\"tall.

In great overall condition for age,totally original condition with a nice warm worn patina.

Only standout damage is one of the smaller center figures hands has come off over the years, Other then that there is only small nibbles and chips in places which is completely expected with the age and use of the table, and as you can see doesn\'t detract from the beauty of the piece.

Please note this item dates back to the 19th century and has some wear and tear commensurate with age and use.

If item has to be posted it will have to be DISMANTLED due to the size limits on posting, which would be a case of unscrewing 13 screws and flat packing each figure etc.
