This is an exceptionally beautiful Antique late Victorian Early 1900\'s SHEER RUFFLED SLIP. The fabric is sheer and translucent, with a little crispness. The front is flat and fitted but the back has gathering, probably for a bustle. The bottom is covered with a 15\" wide ruffle of small pin tucks and floral motif lace. It is so feminine and special it may have been for a wedding dress. Much longer in the back, it is 40\" from the waistband in the front to the bottom, and 51\" from the waistband in the back to the bottom. It is in excellent sturdy shape, fabric is strong, no holes, but does have spotting and fabric discoloration. No hooks on waistband. Waistband end to end: 24\".
