This is simply a gorgeous Navajo long ring, it is3\" in length with a beautiful large domed high grade webbed turquoisecabochon (likely Kingman), bordered skillful silver scroll / twist wire makingthis truly a striking ring. The cabochon is well set in tall bezel, supportedby heavier gauge sterling platform and supported by adouble shank band.Extra-long rings of this quality are scarce as they are expensive for manynative artists to make, the cabochon alone is quite costly and the time spentskillfully setting the scroll and bringing to finish is daunting...making thisa wonderful heirloom collectible. It is unsigned and unmarked as to silvercontent and purity has been verified as being .925 or better.
It is in good vintage condition. NOTE: The stonehas a crack about a 1/3 of the way up the stone at the matrix. I have repairedit using turquoise powder and epoxy mix by filling the hairline crevice, aftercuring it was buffed and polished aiding in blending (which the crack is at thematrix, as typically the weak point) and though still slightly visible, thestone is now stable and securely set in bezel. Also, it has a small chip. Thisring should hold very well if afforded a slightly higher degree of care.
