Extremely Rare Antique Ottoman Prayer Beads (a) You are offerding on a extremely rare museum quality antique Ottoman Turkish prayer beads, Early 18th century, Turkey. Made of oval cut fish teeth beads strung on silk cord. Light weight, delicate & comfortable in the hand, this type were made for ladies of the court, sometimes referred to as k z or kad n tespih. II. Extremely Rare Antique Ottoman Prayer Beads 1. More accurately, these are Islamic prayer beads, known in Turkish as tesbih or tespih and in Arabic, misbaha or subha. The age is evidenced by oxidation, as indicated in these old beads by the golden hue some have attained. III. Extremely Rare Antique Ottoman Prayer Beads 1. Consisting of 99 beads, the strand is about 22 ½” long (57 cm), excluding the finial and tassel, and each of the oval beads is about 1/4\" long (5-6 mm). IV.
