Over the years we have had the pleasure of offering antique paper mache or similar type wax over composition dolls, but rarely such an exceptional FACTORY ORIGINAL example of a little girl; she will STEAL YOUR HEART with her luminous brown glass SOULFUL EYES, original strawberry blonde MOHAIR WIG, and wonderfully delicate FACIAL FEATURES-----celebrate Christmas EVERY DAY with this endearing little doll!
Her original cloth body with tan LEATHER HANDS is imprinted with red and white CANDY CANE STOCKINGS, and as part of her lower limbs we love her fancy cloth scalloped RED BOOTS! Her paper mache head is of a very fine material; we think it is possible it could be WAX OVER COMPOSITION as it has an almost thin waxy and somewhat shiny finish, but since we are unsure we are offering her as a very top quality paper mache doll! Her features are DELICATELY MOLDED including painted FEATHERED EYEBROWS, individuallystroked EYELASHES, and sweetly painted rose pink cheeks and CHERUB LIPS! There are a few small craze lines and they have been magnified in the pictures but in person her presentation is just GORGEOUS!
Her original long MOHAIR WIG is strawberry blonde in color, full and in its original set and pulled back away from her face with a long braid in the back and a red satin ribbon bow tie on the end with matching hair band on the top of her head! Her head is molded into one piece with her shoulder plate and since her original clothes are sewn on we don\'t want to remove them to see if there are any marks, but our guess is that she is of GERMAN ORIGIN circa early 1900\'s!
