♥ Commedia de l\' Arte ♥This charming, 16\" tall, antique boudoir hat stand will certainly be a compliment to any vintage boudoir doll collection with his French-style make up. Similar to the hat stand shown on page 61, \"Dolls of the Art Deco Era\"-Oroyan (see photos) he dates to about the 1920s when the French theater figures of \"Pierrot and Pierrette\"from the Commedia de l\' Arte were most popular. Constructed of a hard composition (almost chalk-like) material he has wonderful adult features with deeply molded and painted eyelids, side-glancing painted eyes with hi-lites, eyebrows, mauve eyeshadow, nostril dots, molded ears, darklips and excellent cheek coloring. This model has painted brunette hair (spit curls) peaking out beneath his black cap with pale green ruffled ruching around his neck and is mounted ona pale green velveteen hat stand. He\'ll make a terrific display with any of your boudoir or bed dolls or on a dressing table or bureau. He is in very good to excellent condition with no damages, no repairs and no fading or odors as he is from a smoke free home. Other items and boudoir dolls shown are not included and each available separately.
