This is a really nice copper Newlyn Arts and Crafts jug (stamped \"NEWLYN\" to the base) made circa 1900. Luckily it has not been polished for a long time and has a really nice patina. It stands approx 7.25 inches in height. Solder to the handle along the hinge. This - in my opinion - was done when the jug was originally made. The maker used one rivet in the hinge and so the lid can be rotated. To stop this, the maker then tried (unsuccessfully) to solder the hinge in place (he should have used two rivets instead of one!).
