This is a fine and quite stunning watercolour, portrait of the male figure of which:
During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from the early 19th century.

To the rear of the artists board is writing of which is difficult to decipher.
It confirms the painting has been cut down to fit into the oval.
Mounted into the glazed and decorative gilt wooden frame.
The overall size of the frame is about 10 x 8inches.
Max depth of about 1.25inches.
Viewing size of the portrait is about 7.75 x 5.5inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent andis subject to:
minor areas of flaking to the watercolour of the male.
Frame is excellent and is subject to very minimal chipping.
