    LOT 953ITALIAN MSS., EQUESTRIAN.Fine early seventeenth-century Italian manuscript containing drawings of horses with descriptions of the various breeds and national typesEstimate  3,000 - 5,000 USDexecuted in pen & ink, with pink, green, grey and yellow washes, with captions and descriptions of each national breed in brown ink, together with additional sketches of horses, figures, stables, etc., in pencil, comprising nineteen leaves:

    Nineteen leaves, folio (305 x 203 mm), modern foliation in pencil, watermark monogram \"GAG\" within an elaborate cartouche; a few stains to the first leaf, Modern maroon morocco (by Gruel), gilt title to spine (\"cavalli\") and gilt turn-ins, slipcase.
