A fine quality, Japanese, \"Imperial\" Satsuma earthenware vase, dating to the late 19th Century. Painted with irises, in coloured enamels and gilding, with bands of \"ruyi\" heads at the shoulder and lappets around the base. Dragon / serpent head handles at the neck and a gold, two character artist\'s signature on the base. Measuring 6\" high. Repaired damage to the top (see photo 9).
