FINE PHILIP ROKER GEORGE III STERLING SPOON 18THC FEATHER EDGE:
$48.00
This is a handsome sterling spoon which I believe was made by London Silversmith Philip Roker. It measures 4-7/8\" long and weighs .40 troy ounces. It is in the Old English pattern, with an engraved feather edge. It is monogrammed, \"G (over) I*I\", which is an indicator that the spoon was probably a wedding gift. The reverse of the handle is bottom-marked, dating it to the late 18th century. It is in very good estate condition, with a bit of tip wear, not too bad. The reverse is marked, \"P*R\" and with the \"Lion Passant\" (British sterling). Any black marks are merely reflections. It is a fine piece!
