On offer today is a very rare set of6dessert forks inDOG NOSEpattern.They have 3 tines as opposed to the conventional 4. Assayed in London,1920 byhighly sought aftermakersofsilver Lionel Alfred Crichton (Crichton Bros). Year lettere (one is letter d). Hallmarks are deep and clear and stamped to the back of the stems.They are just under6.625 inches in length and weigh ahefty312 grams (10.03 troy ounces) and each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout.Thetineshavenowearat all and are unworn being long, sharp and perfectly even. They areengravedtothe front with a lovelyunicorn head crest, definitely no erasures either.The motto SPARE NOUGHT is for family HAY.

This set is also highly unusual in that this cutlery is hand made as opposed tomachine made as most 20th century flatware is.
