A Superior Antique Persian Solid Silver Box in Very Good Condition
An extremely fine and beautiful Solid Silver box - a masterpiece of Iranian/Isfahan silwerwork. Considering the quality and detail likely made by a famous Persian master silversmith. There are two marks (see image# 5) - maker and the numbers 84 written in Arabic representing the silver standard of 84% purity, similar to the Russian Imperial standard and purer than most continental silver. Beautiful and intricate vegetation and geometrical design, you literally need a magnifying glass to see all details. The lid opens from the short side.A very nice, superior quality Persian solid silver box signed by the maker in Very Good+ condition.
