As an old librarian I have had the great pleasure of owning this fine book for many years, now it is someone else\'s turn. The book itself is tight and not dirty, nor does it smell like cigarette smoke or mold/mildew. The jacket is not faded, but has acquired some small tears and edge wear over time. I did have it verified at Antiques Roadshow a few years ago and it is the true first edition. I had other first editions with me, so was given a combined value. The main detraction on the book is the 2nd page where the previous owner had glued something on the page - see the 6th picture. On the back of this page is a list of books by Ernest Hemingway. Then there is another page with only the title of the book on it and nothing on the reverse. Then one gets to the actual title page. I offer all that information, so you know exactly where in the book the previously glued page is located. Also it is possible that a book conservator could work with this. Please look at all the pictures, as they will show you a lot, but feel free to ask questions, if I have missed something. Thanks for looking at my sale.
