Collectors item containing 50 sterling silver medals, proof quality.
This set was issued in 1972 by the Franklin Mint.
Each medal is minted in 92.50% sterling silver. Complete collection of Rembrandt\'s masterworks, each sterling silver medal depicts a portrait of one Rembrandt\'s paintings.
The back side of each coin provides the title and a brief story as to the painting.
Included is a custom wood chest cabinet, along with one book (see pictures)
Each coin measures 51mm (2 inches) from side to side by 3.96mm (5/32\") in thickness.
Each coin weighs approximately 66 grams which equates to 2.12 troy ounces per coin.
All coins are minted in .925 Sterling Silver.
Total Silver Weight: 3.3 kilograms or 106.10 Troy Ounces.
If you will note, as set forth in the bronze plaque on the top of the wooden chest, this particular set was minted expressly for my grandfather (his name is blocked by the pencil).
This is set number 3807. Each coin is stamped 3807 on it side to confirm that it is part of this limited production set.
The overall dimensions of the wood chest cabinet are: 18\" x 12\" x 9.25\"
Each individual drawer measures 15 3/8\" x 10\" x 1\".
