From the collection of a retired diplomat we offer a highly elegantIrish George III teapot in Sterling Silver, bearing marks for Dublin 1810-11.The maker is markedR.S. and based upon Jackson's Silver and Gold Marks of England, Scotland and Ireland, the initials are identified as Richard Sawyer.
It stands6 7/8inches high (16 cm) and measures 12 inches long (31.5cm)from its spout to the edge of the handle. It is 5 1/2inches wide (15 cm).
It is beautifully made with gadrooned edges. Original early 19th century engraving with crest of griffen type creature.
The condition is very good with no bumps or bashes. Minor wear assuming that it is 200 years old. Please see pictures.
