Fab set 13 Shiebler/Polhemus Corinthian Sterling Silver Flatware Forks & Spoons

Presented is a fabulous set of 13 Shiebler/John Polhemus sterling silver flatware pieces. These pieces are done in the Corinthian pattern, first produced by John Polhemus in the mid 1800s and later picked up by Shiebler. The set consists of a large serving spoon, four teaspoons, six luncheon forks, and one dinner fork. The dinner fork is monogrammed EKB on the back of the handle, while the rest of the pieces are monogrammed EB on the back of the handle.

This set is in great condition. The details of the design are nice and crisp. Two of the teaspoons have some minor dings to the bowl. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The large spoon, the four teaspoons, and six of the luncheon forks are all marked with the Shiebler maker\'s mark as well as sterling. The remaining one luncheon fork and the dinner fork are marked with the maker\'s mark for John Polhemus, a patent date of 1868, sterling, and a retail mark for Bailey & Co.

The large serving spoon is about 8 3/8 inches long. The teaspoons are about 5 7/8 inches long. The large dinner fork is about 7 3/4 inches long. The luncheon forks are about 7 inches long.

The total weight for the set is 549 grams or 19.4 regular ounces.
