Antique 19th Century Crazy Quilt

FABULOUS Antique Crazy Quilt! This is the real deal! Meticulously and artfully hand-sewn in the 19th century. Fantastic patterns include stitched and appliqued flora, birds, butterflies, fireflies, animals and even a spider in a web! Built from scraps of silk, cotton and velver, this quilt is designed as a wheel within a square, and every piece is bordered to the next by embroidery. It is bound on all sides with silk braiding. It includes a stitched silk backing and has been fitted with sturdy loops for hanging, if desired. The minor wear is typical for a textile of this age. A truly amazing piece for any quilt and art collector! Museum quality! My photos include front & back full views; four quadrants, and close-ups.
