Circa late 1800’s, a rare and fine Normandy lace table or bed cover with many differenttypes of hand made lace and embroidery.The approximate size is86\" by 61\". The embroidered lawn insert is25\" wide. Edged in filet lace, with cherubs and nude ladies at each corner, it is a beautiful example of the fine handwork prized by ladies in the 19th century. There are a few broken brides and we found two pinpricks in the lawn insert-pic 10 & 11 show the worst. It has not been laundered and there are no signs of repair. Probably once white, it is now ivory or ecru in color. Pleaseexamine the pictures carefully as they are part of the description, email if you have a question, and consider our other sale/store items if you have time.
