This sale is for a vintage art deco lucite frame containing an 8x10 autographed photo of the 1950s actress Abbe Lane, signed in the upper left corner “My Best Wishes, Abbe Lane.” There is some deterioration in the photograph, which are white spots across the actress’s hand and arm, also there are some spots in the blank area on the right side. The photo is as-found in its attractive vintage deco lucite acrylic frame, I have not taken the photo out of its frame that it has been in probably for decades. The curvy frame is translucent yellow in color and is about 10.25” by 11.75” at its widest dimensions, and there are no cracks in the lucite. There are 5 square lucite tabs at the back that are holding firmly. The back of the frame has the original cardboard backing, with a velvety surface. The tab that originally allowed the frame to stand up has broken off, as can be seen in the pictures, but it is included in case someone wants to repair it. The frame could use a good cleaning and/or polish, which I will leave up to the buyer.
This item is in “as-found” condition, and comes from my late father-in-law’s estate. I have described it to the best of my ability but I am not an expert, so please read description carefully, look at all the pictures, and ask any questions before you offer.
