For sale is a late 19th century Austrian 800 silver muffineer with engine-turned decoration. The piece is 5 3/4 inches tall by about 2 3/8 inches in diameter and weighs 143 grams. The piece is baluster shaped, with a slide-on onion-shaped cap. It is decorated with engine-turning, with an elaborate cypher monogram in a cartouche. It is marked on the foot, rim and cap with an Austrian 800 silver standard mark. It is also marked on the foot and cap with a [_R] maker’s mark as shown.

Condition on the piece is fair. The foot is pushed down and dented so it does not stand level, and there are numerous other shallow dents. Still a decent piece of antique Austrian holloware!
