This is just a perfect antique box! It doesn\'t get more lovely than this! The delicate miniature jewel box has an image of a fairy maiden musician. She is playing a violin and has a lyre nearby. The top is sterling silver with the raised repousse design. I love her wings and flowing robes - such a rare piece! The lid is signed R.M.Co Sterling, which is a silver firm from Canada. The bottom is glass or crystal with a lovely etched design. Overall this is just a superb delightful piece with such elegance and the fairy is so magnificent!
The box is in fine condition. There are a few dings on the sides of the lid. There are no dings on the top with the image. I have left the silver unpolished but it could be easily polished if desired. The top is 1 3/4 inches (4.3 cm) in diameter, and 1 1/4 inches (35 mm) tall.
This is a superb original Antique fairy box, and so very hard to find in today\'s market! Treat yourself or a loved one to a treasure to cherish for generations and one which will only increase in value over time!
