Fancy Silver Plate Locket w/ Pewter 1830 Holy Mary Miraculous Medal & 24” Chain Up for consideration is this lovely and elaborate silver plate locket and chain with a religious medal inside. The medal is easily removable, but since it came with the locket, I have kept them together.
The locket uses an abstract filigree monogram top plate that gives the piece both depth and texture. Being abstract, it looks like it could be any letter you needed it to be for your name or someone else’s name.
The locket is 2” x 1 1/2” x 3/8”. It snaps securely closed and the hinge is tight. It hangs from a pinch back bale with three vertical grooves runningparallel from top to bottom. The chain is a spiral twist 1/8” wide with a spring circle clasp.
Inside is a pewter religious medal with the Virgin Mary cast in detail;“1830” is printed at her feet and around the circumferences reads“O Mary Conceived withoutsin pray for us who have recourse to thee”. The medal has been held in place with a small amount of green modeling clay which is easily removable.
In beautiful clean and shiny condition, with only light signs of wear and no imperfections or defects.
