Be Mine Valentine is carved from a one of a kind agate from Brazil which features large, beautifully formed deep purple amethyst crystal clusters. Under the purple of the amethyst, the agate is formed with areas of clear uncolored crystal and layers of complementing colorful of shades of whites, grays, and blues. The back of the Be Mine Valentine amethyst agate geode has been kept in it's natural rough state and includes a small area of exposed agate bearing the signature of master artist Steven Z.Steven Z. has worked with many amethyst agate geodes, but the Be Mine Valentine sculpture is definitely among the finest works of art he has produced. This sculpture is unparalleled in its perfect design and appearance. The two wonderfully detailed crystal skulls carved amongst the amethyst crystal druse are almost mirror images of each other. The backs of the skulls are amethyst crystals of excellent color, which fade to a more lightly colored translucent and clear amethyst base before meeting the hosting layers of white agate. From this layer of white agate, the banding pattern becomes apparent, with another change in color to alternating gray and then blue layers, finally fading to a translucent white and then clear crystal material.
