---------- About the Author ---------

Derek Taylor (1932 – 1997) was an English journalist, writer and publicist. He is best known for his work as press officer for the Beatles and the Beach Boys, creating campaign taglines such as \"The Beatles Are Coming\" and \"Brian Wilson Is a Genius\". He also coined the term \"pocket symphony\" in reference to the Beach Boys\' 1966 single \"Good Vibrations\". Taylor started his career as a local journalist in Liverpool aged 17 working for the Hoylakeand West Kirby Advertiser followed by the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo before becoming a North England-based writer for national British newspapers that included the News Chronicle, the Sunday Dispatch and the Sunday Express. He also served as a regular columnist and theatre critic for the Daily Express from 1952. A trusted confidant of the Beatles, Taylor remained particularly close to George Harrison long after the band\'s break-up and maintained a friendship with Lennon until the latter\'s death in 1980. In addition to working as editor on Harrison\'s 1980 autobiography, I, Me, Mine, Taylor authored books such as As Time Goes By, The Making of Raiders of The Lost Ark, Fifty Years Adrift (In An Open Necked Shirt) and It Was Twenty Years Ago Today.

---------- About the Musician ---------

George Harrison,(1943–2001) was an English musician, singer and songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Although John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the band\'s primary songwriters, most of their albums included at least one Harrison composition, including \"While My Guitar Gently Weeps\", \"Here Comes the Sun\" and \"Something\", which became the Beatles\' second-most-covered song. By 1965 he had begun to lead the Beatles into folk rock through his interest in the Byrds and Bob Dylan, and towards Indian classical music through his use of the sitar on \"Norwegian Wood\". He developed an interest in the Hare Krishna movement and became an admirer of Indian culture and mysticism, introducing them to the other members of the Beatles and their Western audience by incorporating Indian instrumentation in their music. After the band\'s break-up in 1970, Harrison released the triple album All Things Must Pass, from which two hit singles originated. He also organized the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh with Ravi Shankar, a precursor for later benefit concerts such as Live Aid. Harrison released several best-selling singles and albums as a solo performer, and in 1988 co-founded the platinum-selling supergroup the Traveling Wilburys. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 11 in their list of the \"100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time\".
