Fine Antique 16/17thC Islamic Early Ottoman Damascus Iznik Style Square Tile #3.
Heavy tile with blue, yellow, and turquoise green enamels with manganese outline.
Central oval star shaped floral design, possibly inspired by Chinese designs.
Date c16/17thC Ottoman, probably Damascus / Jerusalem or North African Report:
Measures approx. 15.2 cm (6\") by 15 cm (5 7/8\") across and 2.4 cm (7/8\") high.Weight 912 gr.
Condition is very good, extensive signs of wear and/or use commensurate with age.
Some three white paint splatters near the left side have been removed (after the pictures were taken).
