Up for sale is this gorgeous antique watercolor or charcoal painting of a joyous wedding celebration with the couple being whisked away in a double-horse carriage with friends and family giving well-wishes and congratulations. The artwork is stunning and with incredible detail of this clearly well-to-do family. The clothing looks like it would date this towards the Union era perhaps 1850s or so. The trees have beautiful blossoming flowers and the road is dirt with cobblestone walkway in front of the outdoor flower garden.A dog is trailing the carriage off to the left, tail wagging.What a great piece in its original frame with gilt gold carved colonial accents.Some nicks and bits missing on the frame but majority is intact.Frame measures 26.5\" inches long and 18.8\" inches wide. Glass is in great condition and back has wood panels. Everything is quite old and original with great patina!I do not see a signature but would love to know should there be an expert out there.
