Here is a very finely painted satsuma Japanese earthenware lidded jar from the Meiji period. It is completely decorated in enMel MORIAGE and has finely detailed hand painted faces. The lid has been broken and glued. See pictures. It measures about 7\" tall by 6\" wide.
