A stunning Victorian 9ct Gold Ring set with a natural cabochon-cut Amethyst, which dates to c1896(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
This wonderful Antique Ring has bifurcated shoulders and a plain \'D\' shaped shank (approx\' 3mm wide) supporting a gold collet mount that holds a beautiful cabochon-cut Amethyst (approx\' 14mm by 10mm) in a rubover setting. Needless to say this fine Victorian Ring looks fabulous when worn and it is sure to attract many admiring glances.
As shown, this fine quality Ring, which weighs 2.8 grams, is stamped with a maker\'s mark \'SH\' and a full hallmark confirming that it is made from solid 9ct Gold & that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1896. Overall the Ring is in truly great condition with only light wear commensurate with age, as shown in the detailed photographs provided.
The Ring is sized as a UK Ring Size \'O 1/2\', which equates to a US Ring Size \'7 1/2; as with almost all antique rings the band isslightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightlydifferently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this willnot affect the Ring when worn.
