Stunning Chinese export solid silver large bowl on stand,measures 8\" (20.3cm) acrossx 4 1/4\" (10.8cm) high & 6\" (15.2cm) including base& weighs approx. 20 troy oz (excluding base).Thebowl is clearly marked with a Chinese character mark & the makers mark for WingNam of Hong Kong,it has been acid tested as the normal 900 standard for Chinese silver.The bowl is decorated with a largerepousse work sinuousdragon,the detailing is ofthe usual superb quality expected from this fine maker.The condition is very good,there some light surface scratches from use to the inside of the bowl & a few spots where I suspect it was used to hold fruit,these should easily polish out if required,I have given the bowl a light clean to remove the tarnish,the originalcarvedhardwood base is in good antique condition,I believethis fine quality bowldates to around 1900.
