Fine Dresdenporcelain figurine ..a lady seated at a desk or small table. Having received a bouquet of roses and flowers, she holds the gift note or letter in her right hand. Her faithful dog (grey borzoi) reclines by her side. She wears a gown withlayers of delicate porcelain lace with ruffles, dotted with tiny roses; puffed sleaves, gathered at the elbow. Her yellow bonnet is tipped to one side, awhite bow drapes in the back, and a pink rose is tucked in the front.She wears pink slippers, adorned with white bows. The base has scrolled accents, and lush gilt trim. Entirely handpainted, including the mostdelicate facial features. Notice the exceptional detail:
* blushing cheeks, décolleté, and slender hands and fingers
* the tiny flowers are hand-modeled, petal by petal, leaf by leaf
* a rose-bud has fallen onto the desk, a blue forget-me-not onto the ground
* the deskhas delicate cabriole legs, gilt trim; the chair has a floral pattern handpainted on burgundy
* the lace of her dress ruffles out between the chair and desk
* a scarf drapes across the desk, a blue shawl drapes over the arm of the chair
Apx 8 1/4\" high; the base is apx 81/4\" and5 1/2\". Marked in blue, underglaze, \"Unter Weiss Bach\" with a crown logo; plus embossed numbers \"3342 .. 18\". Please note the following 2 condition issues: 1) there is a spot of repair where the lace meets her left shoulder; and 2)there is a small piece of lace missing on the bottom ruffle.. see close-ups. Otherwise excellent condition. Enlarge photos for detail.
